Terms

The agreement between us, written so that somebody can actually read it. Nothing here is hidden in a clause designed not to be read.

What this comes down to

  • Everything you and your contributors upload stays yours.
  • We will not delete your photographs because of money.
  • You can take a full copy, or leave, whenever you like.
  • We will tell you before anything about your page changes.

Last updated September 2026. These terms are between you and IntraNow Limited, registered in England and Wales, whose registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.

Words we use

Your account

You need to be 16 or over to create an account, and to give us an email address that reaches you, because that is how we tell you when something arrives and before anything changes.

Keep your password to yourself. Anyone who can sign in as you can see everything your family has gathered. Two-factor authentication is available and we recommend it.

You can invite other family members and give them different levels of access. You remain responsible for what people you invite do with the page.

What we provide

A page where family and friends can send photographs, videos and written memories; tools for your family to decide what is kept and what is shown; printed codes for a service; and a download of the originals.

We will provide it with reasonable care and skill. That is a right you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and nothing here takes it away.

Your content stays yours

You and your contributors own everything uploaded. Nothing about using this service transfers ownership to us, and we claim no rights over your family's photographs.

So that the service can work, you give us permission to store the files, make the smaller copies a web page needs, and show them to the people you have chosen. That permission exists for those purposes and no others. It is not transferable, it earns us nothing, and it ends when you delete the content or close the page.

We will not use your family's photographs to advertise anything, will not show them to anybody you have not chosen, and will not use them to train machine learning models, whether our own or anybody else's.

What we ask of you

Contributors

Anybody who sends something to your page is giving it to your family. We pass it on, and your family decide whether it appears. A contributor can ask us to remove what they sent, and we will.

Nothing a contributor sends becomes public because of a setting or a default. Somebody in your family has to say so.

What it costs

A new page is free for 2 days with no card required. After that a plan is needed to keep the page open to visitors. The current price is shown on the pricing page before you pay, and we will not change what you have already paid for.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.

Cancelling, and getting your money back

You have 14 days from paying to change your mind and get a full refund, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

If you ask us to open the page immediately, which is what most families want, you are asking us to start before those 14 days are up. You keep the right to cancel within the 14 days; we may keep a proportion of the price reflecting the part of the service already provided.

Beyond that, if something has gone wrong or the service was not what we described, write to us. We would rather refund somebody than argue with them.

If a plan lapses

The page closes to the public. It is not deleted, not archived and not suspended. Everything stays where it is, you can still sign in and see all of it, and paying reopens the page exactly as it was, at the same address.

A page that stays closed is kept for two years and then removed. We write to you twice before that, months apart, each time with a download of everything. Replying to either message and saying you want the page kept is enough to stop it; you do not have to pay. This limit exists because holding personal information indefinitely is neither something we could honestly promise nor something data protection law permits.

Ending it

You can stop at any time, take everything with you, and ask us to delete the page. Deletion is real: files go from storage and records go from the database.

We would only close an account ourselves for something serious, such as unlawful content or using a memorial page to harass somebody. If that happened we would tell you why and give you a way to retrieve your files first, unless the law prevented us.

We may stop offering the service. If we ever do, we will give you at least 90 days' notice and a download of everything you have. We would rather say that plainly than imply a permanence no company can promise.

Things we cannot promise

We cannot promise the service will never be unavailable. We are not responsible for what your contributors upload, or for what somebody does with a link you have shared.

We keep backups, but you should keep your own copy of anything irreplaceable. That is why the download exists, why it is free, and why we encourage you to use it.

Our responsibility to you

If we fail to meet these terms we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking them. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable.

We do not exclude or limit our responsibility to you where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breaking your legal rights as a consumer.

Except where the law says otherwise, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose. Where you have paid us nothing, that limit does not reduce the rights the law gives you regardless.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. If a change affects you materially we will email you at least 30 days beforehand, and you can close your account and take everything with you if you would rather not accept it.

If something goes wrong

Write to support@cherished.id before anything else. A person reads it, and we would far rather fix a problem than argue about a clause.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your own country's courts.
