Questions people actually ask
What does it cost?
£39.99 once, or $49.99 if you are paying in dollars. That keeps the page online for 6 months and holds up to 20GB of photographs and video. There is no subscription, and we will not take another payment without you asking us to.
What happens after the 6 months?
We write to you before it runs out and ask what you would like to do. You can extend it, or take a full copy of everything and close the page. If we hear nothing the page simply closes to visitors, and your photographs stay where they are until you tell us otherwise.
What happens when the trial ends?
The page closes to visitors. Everything you have gathered stays exactly where it is, and you can still sign in and see all of it. Paying reopens the page at the same address, with the same photographs and the same link you already gave your family.
Will you ever delete our photographs?
Never because of money. A page that lapses closes to visitors and everything stays exactly where it is, and paying reopens it unchanged. We cannot promise to hold a closed page forever, and it would not be lawful to: data protection law requires a limit. So if a page stays closed and nobody comes back, we write to you twice, roughly eighteen months and twenty-three months afterwards, each time with a link to download everything, and remove it after two years. Reply to either email and we will keep it. You can also ask us to delete it sooner.
Why is the trial so short?
Because most families know within an evening whether this is right for them. If you need longer, say so and you will have it. Nobody is going to be chased about money while they are arranging a funeral.
What happens to our photographs if you go out of business?
We would tell every account holder before shutting anything down, and give you a download of everything you have. A promise to keep your family's photographs for longer than the company might exist is not one anybody can make, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
What if we cannot afford it?
Write to us and we will sort something out. This is not a product anybody should be priced out of.
Is there a limit on how much we can upload?
20GB, which is several thousand photographs, or a few hours of video, or any mixture of the two. Several hundred photographs can be sent in a single go, and a video can be up to about five gigabytes. If you get close to the limit we will tell you, rather than quietly refusing somebody's upload.
We are a funeral director. Is there a different arrangement?
Yes. Funeral directors, hospices and celebrants get a link of their own, earn 20% of what the families they send us go on to pay, and can have their name on the page. The family still owns the page, and pays the same price either way.
